Fruitobot LLP · Kerala, India
We turn Kerala's ripest bananas into Banana Fig — a naturally sweet, chewy dried fruit — alongside our Honey Twigs, made with real honey. No added sugar, no shortcuts, just careful, controlled drying.
01 · Our flagship
Banana Fig is our name for slow, machine-dehydrated Nendran bananas from Kerala — sliced and dried at a controlled low temperature, with nothing added along the way. The result is a chewy, deeply sweet snack that keeps the fruit's own character intact.
How it's made
Every batch follows the same careful process, using dryers rather than open sun, so quality stays consistent pack after pack.
Ripe Nendran bananas picked by local growers.
Cut into even pieces, ready for the dryer.
Dried in temperature-controlled machines for even, consistent results.
Chewy, golden-brown, and naturally sweet.
Sealed fresh in small batches.

The nutrition
Drying doesn't just preserve a banana — it concentrates it. Removing the water leaves the potassium, fibre, and B-vitamins behind in a smaller, denser bite. Here's what a 100g serving of plain dehydrated banana typically provides, based on published USDA-referenced nutrition data.
About 4x more concentrated than fresh banana. Supports healthy blood pressure, muscle function, and heart rhythm.
Roughly 4x the fibre of a fresh banana, gram for gram. Supports digestion and helps slow down sugar absorption.
Supports nervous system function and how the body converts food into usable energy.
Plays a role in bone health, energy production, and normal muscle and nerve function.
All the sweetness is naturally occurring — nothing is added during drying.
Unlike traditional fried banana chips, Banana Fig is dried, not deep-fried — so there's no added fat.
Figures are typical values for plain dehydrated banana from published nutrition databases (USDA-referenced), given as a general guide — actual values can vary slightly by batch and ripeness. This isn't medical advice; if you have a specific health condition, it's worth checking with a doctor or dietitian.
We use Nendran, the firm, starchy banana variety Kerala is known for — richer in resistant starch and vitamin B6 than regular dessert bananas, and traditionally the variety used for banana chips across South India.
Why Kerala
Kerala's climate and its Nendran bananas are the reason Banana Fig tastes the way it does. Working close to the source means shorter time from harvest to drying, and better control over quality at every step.
